MALKOLAK CENTRE FOR PLANT PATHOLOGY AND APPLIED MICROBIOLOGY (M-PPAM) under Malkolak Institute of Life Sciences(MILS) is focused towards conducting research on the basic biology of plant pathogens and microbes developing methods for the management of plant and microbiological diseases of organisms and providing expert advice on plant diseases and microbiology to the farmers.

  OBJECTIVES
The primary objective is to carry out basic and applied research.
To develop as a platform for industry, academia, researchers, scientists to identify different research breakthroughs.
To offer courses and training programmes in areas like plant pathology, techniques for disease identification and management, methods of seed health testing, application of microbiology (fermentation technology, food microbiology, bio-fertilizers, and medical microbiology).
