|A one-day workshop on “Rain water Harvesting” was held on 26th of June, 2012 at Honey Dew restaurant, Ajmer.|
|Organized by – SAARANSH SANSTHAN, AJMER. Under the aegis of MALKOLAK KNOWLEDGE CENTRE, HYDERABAD|
The workshop which was attended by more than 25 NGO representatives, social workers, and students along with subject experts in the subject focused on Traditional water harvesting structures and revival and rain water harvesting, Need for water harvesting and source of irrigation, construction of water harvesting structures, future perspective for water harvesting and brief discussion about water harvesting practices so far in the district and the state. Ms.Neeti Dixit represented Malkolak Knowledge Centre, Hyderabad.
The session ended with a group discussion wherein the participants suggested few villages for future study and work. The name of the villages were Pisanganj, Palri, Gagwana, Narwar, Rupnagarh, Merta city, Tikawarkhera, rawat, Pichuliya, Bhagwanpura, Motisar, Akhetpura,Ganehara, Nooriyawas, Budhwara, Dantra,kalesara and Hanwantpura. Finally some villages were selected from the given list based on the needs and study for water harvesting the name of which are Pichuliya, Bhagwanpura, Motisar,Akhetpura, Ganehara which are situated around pushkar .
